How to Fix Common AEG Failures?

Airsoft guns are great, but they can be prone to some common AEG failures. If you find yourself having trouble with your airsoft AEG (Automatic Electric Gun), here are some of the most common AEG failures and how to fix them.

Battery issues

If your airsoft gun isn’t firing, it could be a problem with the battery. Most AEGs use 8.4V-9.6V NiMH batteries, which can lose their charge over time. To check if this is the issue, try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery or try using a new one altogether.

Also, ensure that both contacts on the battery are clean and free of corrosion or dirt; otherwise, it won’t make a good connection with the gun and won’t power up properly.

Motor issues

Another common cause of airsoft gun failure is motor issues. If you hear clicking when you trigger the gun but no sound from the motor, you may need to open up your gearbox and check out what’s happening inside.

The most likely culprit is worn-out pinion gear or stripped gears in general; these will need to be replaced if they’re causing any friction in the system that prevents it from working properly. You may also want to check for broken wires or bad connections between components; if those exist, they should be replaced immediately.

Hop up issues

The hop-up unit is responsible for imparting spin onto BBs as they leave the barrel of an airsoft gun – which helps them travel farther and straighter than they would without spin on them – so any issues there can cause major accuracy problems with your AEG.

If you find that your shots are not flying straight and true like they used to, then take off your gearbox and inspect the hop-up unit for any signs of wear or tear that could impede its ability to work correctly. Replacing any worn parts should fix this issue right away!

No matter what kind of issue you’re having with your airsoft AEG, there’s usually some simple solution available that doesn’t involve replacing entire components or purchasing new parts all together!

Remember these tips next time you have trouble with your airsoft gun, so you don’t have to worry about buying expensive replacements!
